The Children’s Learning Institute at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) is dedicated to advancing learning and health outcomes for all children through research-practice partnerships. Our ongoing research efforts, development of new and innovative educational programs and initiatives, and clinical practices and programs continue to focus on the same reason for our founding decades ago: to apply cutting-edge research in child development and education to improve children’s learning.
CLI’s initiatives and programs deliver services and resources to schools, early childhood professionals, and families to enhance children’s learning experiences at school and home, often at no cost to participants.
Since 1990, CLI has conducted research that combines data and studies from the fields of psychology, neuro-development, education, and child development to provide proven learning solutions.
Our clinic provides comprehensive assessments of children, adolescents, and young adults who are thought to have developmental or behavioral problems, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
CLI develops, implements, and supports
a broad array of resources for families, teachers, early childhood
specialists, program administrators, and more! Many of these
resources are available at no cost.
Our online platform CLI Engage hosts hundreds of resources for schools, teachers, and families at no cost, all designed to positively impact school readiness.
