Sindh Consumer Protection Act, 2014.

This Act is enacted to provide and protect the rights and interests of oonsumers in the Province of Sindh.
Part II provides for the liability arising from defective products. The manufacturer of a product shall be liable to a consumer for damages proximately caused by, a characteristic of the product that renders the product defective when such damage arose from a reasonably anticipated use of the product by a consumer. Part III deals with liability for faulty or defective services. A provider of services shall be liable to a consumer for damages proximately caused by provision of services that have caused damages. Part V deals with the unfair practices, including false, deceptive or misleading representation, bait advertisement, etc.
The Act further makes provisions, inter alia, for: obligations of manufacturers, establishment of the Consumer Protection Council, disposal of claims and establishment of consumer courts, offences and penalties.
